A full house for Tune In Thursday September 2026

Our September edition of Tune In Thursday brought a full house to Santina Portals on 3 September, with a lively mix of captains, crew, Mallorca business owners, industry professionals and Islander enthusiasts filling the terrace.

The timing couldn’t have been better. With Cannes and Monaco just around the corner, boat show season was about to kick into full swing and there was plenty to talk about. We even welcomed the team from Pantiera, who flew in from Alicante to introduce their new yacht brand to the Mallorca yachting community.

Our friends Natalie Jane Hillstone and Steve Hosking from Bluewater added some friendly competition to the evening, with Steve putting everyone’s seamanship credentials to the test in a knot-tying contest. Our traditional Business Bowl also made its appearance, giving the lucky winners whose cards were drawn from the bowl the floor for their elevator pitches.

And it was hot. Very hot. Thankfully, Bluewater came to the rescue with branded fans, which rapidly became the evening’s most sought-after merchandise.

The Islander team was out in force, with Marlot, Natalie, Saartje and Sara keeping things moving.

As the tables filled, conversations spilled into every available standing space. New introductions were made, old connections renewed and ideas exchanged over drinks.

Tune In Thursday takes place every other month, on the first Thursday of November, January, March, May, July and September, just after the latest print issue of The Islander is released. It’s our regular opportunity to bring the people behind Mallorca’s yachting community together, catch up and make new connections.
