17–20 September
Ibiza JoySail, Ibiza and Mallorca
Launched in 2021, Ibiza JoySail has grown popular enough to become an invitation-only affair. Guests race in a relaxed, fun-first regatta along the coastlines of Ibiza and Formentera, combined with social events on land. There’s an optional record to chase: with the right wind forecast, competitors can attempt the crossing between Mallorca and Ibiza, timed between the iconic lighthouses of Punta Cala Figuera and Tagomago. Joy and sail it is!
25–27 September
Multihull Cup | Mediterranean Regatta, Port Adriano
The Multihull Cup returns to Mallorca, bringing performance cruising multihulls of over 50 feet to the crystal waters off Port Adriano for a long weekend of fun racing. The format usually comprises a mix of coastal courses and a longer “record run”, with the southwest of Mallorca offering reliable breeze. The social venues onshore make it as much a social gathering as a competition. Just how The Islander likes it.
8–10 October
550 Challenge Mallorca, Port Adriano
This closed-road rally returns for its sixth edition, sending competitors across at least 550 kilometres of Mallorca’s scenic roads. Three categories, Competition, Regularity and Show Car, mean there’s a place for modern supercars, classics and electric vehicles. With Port Adriano as its base, the event closes off some of the island’s roads to ordinary traffic (you are warned!), giving spectators a rare chance to watch the fun rally cars race by from the roadside.
10–18 October
Mallorca Car Week, Andratx
This exclusive automotive gathering returns for another edition this October with the partnership of Steigenberger Hotel and Resort Camp de Mar. Organised as a non-profit affair, admission is limited: twenty classic cars and ten modern exotics make the cut for the International Concours d’Elegance, alongside fifty more for the accompanying drives along Mallorca’s scenic roads. A public visitors’ day at Golf de Andratx lets visitors get close to these classic beauties.
17–23 October
Yates Mallorca Cup, Palma de Mallorca
A week-long regatta based at La Lonja in Palma, the Yates Mallorca Cup this year carries extra significance as it marks the 75th birthday of Albi Sutter, the event’s founder and long-time director. Open to monohull sailing yachts, the Yates Mallorca Cup places as much emphasis on friendly competition as on camaraderie, against the Bay of Palma’s unmistakable backdrop that we can’t get enough of.
18 October
Mallorca Marathon, Palma de Mallorca
Maybe one of Europe’s most scenic marathons, this 22nd edition starts and finishes at Parc de la Mar in Palma. As usual, runners can choose between the full 42.2 kilometres, a half marathon or a 10K, with the course tracing the Paseo MarĂtimo and winding through Palma’s historic centre. Expect upwards of ten thousand runners from dozens of countries, a lively pasta party and expo beforehand, and a finish line atmosphere that turns the town into one big sporty celebration (sore legs optional).
