What happens when you combine sixty years of elite composite hull and racing yacht expertise with award-winning electric jet technology? You get the MC-ZERO, a groundbreaking collaboration between McConaghy Boats and ZeroJet that is completely redefining the luxury yacht tender. After turning heads and earning rave reviews at the Palm Beach and Palma boat shows, this electric carbon-fibre tender has officially proven it is more than the sum of its parts.
Power meets sustainability
The flagship model, the MC-ZERO 450 (4.5 m), comes fully kitted with premium features that other brands would usually lock behind an upgrade menu. At its heart is a sustainable, emission-free propulsion system that eliminates the hassle of carrying extra fuel sources on your mothership.
The tender is packed with high-end, intelligent engineering:
Dual electric jets: it features two 30 kW (40 hp each) ZeroJet electric motors, the most efficient power-to-weight motors in the world. This dual setup provides vital built-in redundancy for peace of mind when exploring remote areas.
Advanced battery tech: powered by Safiery’s cutting-edge 3C LiPo semi-solid-state batteries, the tender can continually discharge three times its capacity, giving you the instant punch needed to get up on the plane effortlessly.
Mothership back-up: with 32 kWh of onboard battery storage and advanced DC-to-DC chargers, the tender can even act as a backup power source for your main vessel.
Unmatched versatility
Innovation doesn’t stop at the motor; the MC-ZERO features a patented, world-first movable helm. Boaters can smoothly shift the helm from the stern to mid-ships or right to the bow. This clever design opens up unparalleled deck space to transport dive gear, provisions, or water toys with ease. Furthermore, the abundant battery power drives luxury conveniences like electrically dropping bow steps, helm and an adjustable rear platform. Finally, the tender is wrapped in a continuous, high-impact but soft fendering system.
The MC-ZERO will be on display at the upcoming Cannes boat show and available for on-water testing in the stunning South of France. Coming soon will be the 325 model (3.25 m).
