The Yacht Chef’s Bible – Nick Paterson

This new book written by Nick Paterson ,who has spent many years as both a yacht chef  and a top restaurant chef,  lists around 1000 recipes for all would be yacht chefs.

Nick has worked as a chef for 14 years, starting in gastro pubs in the UK before working his way up to being head chef at age 21. He went on to work at some of the UK’s best restaurants and studied at the famous Tante Marie. He then got the opportunity to work on some of the world’s biggest mega yachts working between the Med, Caribbean and the Maldives. Nick has also worked as a private chef in Switzerland and Sardinia. Now living in Palma, Nick felt it was time for yacht chefs to have a comprehensive reference to work from and hence his new book !

The book is written in such a way that he assumes the reader knows the fundamentals of their craft , and is not a step by step guide of how to make each recipe. By writing it in this way, there is space for many more recipes than you would normally expect to find within one book.

The range of dishes is immense and influenced from all parts of the globe. There will be many dishes here to inspire and enthuse even the most experienced chef and I’m sure will be an instant success.

His vast experience shines through, and I think will become a “must have” on board.

The book is available through iBooks for kindle or iPad at £9.99 or through blurb.com / blurb.co.uk as a soft cover at £33.35.
