Superyacht services provider Royale Oceanic is changing its office network to take account of its current and future workload. Its former offices in Monaco and Sydney have been closed, but new offices in the South of France and North America are in prospect.
Dean Smith, commercial director, told SB: “Having found that most of Royale Oceanic’s client activities, sales and business activities throughout Europe were being handled sufficiently well via the London office, the continued opening and staffing of the Monaco office was no longer required and the decision made to close that office.
“The company is, however, investigating the possibility of establishing premises in the Antibes/Cannes area, with the purpose of acting more as a multi-functional operational base, and not just for the sole purpose of sales.”
As for the company’s present workload, he comments: “Within Royale Oceanic’s managed fleet, two refit projects are currently underway and, on the new-build side, the company is providing project management and technical oversight of a 63m (207ft) yacht project at Benetti and has another 100m (328ft)-plus project shortly going out to contract.
“From an operational standpoint,” he adds, “the Sydney office has now been closed but all other locations remain busy, including Dubai, and the group is currently exploring the idea of opening a new office in North America.”
