With exterior design by Andrea Vallicelli, interior design by Francesco Paszkowski and naval architecture conceived by Italian shipyard ISA Yachts, M/Y Papi Du Papi is a stunning yacht creation entirely made in Italy.
Papi du Papi is characterised by ISA Yachts’ passion for designing high performance yachts with reduced consumption and a typical Italian flair for style. Built upon a high tensile steel displacement hull and sealed within a state-of-the-art aluminium alloy superstructure are Papi Du Papi’s beautiful living quarters. At 43.26m, her intelligent design allows plenty of space on board for large interior and extensive external areas.
Papi Du Papi is distinguished by her elegant double staircase to aft that leads to each of her four tiers from the platform to the spectacular sundeck. The sun deck invites guests to enjoy its two sunbathing areas furnished with sun beds and sun pads, an alfresco dining area with a dining table bar and barbecue, and adjacent swimming pool with a hydromassage tub.
The stern, like the staircase, has a versatile beach area giving Papi du Papi a modern and sporty character befitting its 16,000 knots top speed. From the stern, guests can enjoy panoramic views while relaxing in the teak furnished lounge area complete with sofas and bar.
Meanwhile, five guest staterooms and one Owner’s master stateroom accommodate up to 12 passengers in Papi du Papi’s glamorous interior. There is also room for 10 crew members across the four crew cabins and captain’s cabin. The interior is consistently designed throughout with a particular emphasis on coherency and homogeneity of style. The interior specifications are a product of close interaction between the Owner and yacht architect Margherita Casprini to create personalised on board living spaces where the Owner “feels at home”.
Commenting on this unique relationship, ISA Yachts said “we quickly established an excellent understanding with the Owner, something that is as gratifying as it is rare. This was utterly vital in order to get on the same wavelength about the Owner’s essential requirement”.
At the Owner’s request, the interior has been conceived with a particular attention to providing high quality media entertainment including audio-visual systems integrated into the furniture such as is featured in the panoramic sky lounge on the upper deck where guests can enjoy a hi-fi sound system and home cinema entertainment.
The exclusive Owner’s chambers on the main deck also feature a media area in the private lounge as well as a study area, a master stateroom, a walk-in dressing room and a bathroom.
At the centre of Papi du Papi is a shower and bathtub fitted in Jerusalem stone and shielded by a sleek glass partition and flanked on each side by his and hers areas with individual sanitary facilities.
Elsewhere in the other five guest staterooms the same materials and furniture decorate the living areas as in the Owner’s private area. Floors and cladding are presented in flamed Brazilian rosewood and grooved oak, while communal surfaces feature cream Travertino marble and Jerusalem stone which is beautifully complimented by the Flos chandelier and Matteo Grassi leather designer furniture.
Papi du Papi marks the first collaboration between interior design experts at Francesco Paszkowski Design and ISA Yachts. She made her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2011 at the end of a challenging but rewarding and ultimately successful project. Papi du Papi was finally officially delivered to its Owner in 2012.
Today she is moored in Miami for an exclusive ISA Yachts display at the Miami International Boat Show 2015, Florida’s largest annual event. Over the course of the five day exhibition which began on 12th February and concludes on 16th February, more than 3,000 boats will be displayed by 2,000 exhibitors, offering yachting enthusiasts the opportunity to preview the coming boating season and experience the best of Italian luxury yacht manufacturers innovation at the ISA Yachts stand.
