Founded in 1931, José L. Ferrer Wine Cellar is Mallorca’s largest winery. On a tour, you’ll get to sample four or five premium wines alongside local enotourists, and anyone else interested in learning more about the intricacies of wine-making. The wines, made from local grapes, like Mantonegro, Callet and Moll, and foreign varieties, are accompanied by Quelitas (typical Majorcan crackers), Mahon cheese and organic grape jam.

You are encouraged to ask absolutely anything you fancy, whether you’re keen to hear about the ground’s 15-century history or family’s rigorous taste test. Bodegas Can Vidalet, Pollença

Bodegas Can Vidalet enjoys a jaw-dropping location at the eastern end of the Serra de Tramuntana and produces organic wine using the Cordon de Royat method. The artisan winemakers offer guided tours through their vineyards and winery, including a talk on the bodegas’ history and philosophy. Afterwards, you’ll be able to sniff, sip and slurp the cellar’s youngest wines: Blanc de Negres, Blanc de Blancs and one of their Crianza wines (Ses Pedres or So de Xiprer). Traditional Mallorcan tapas perfectly accompany the wines, as do dramatic mountain views.

Bodegas Son Puig, a family business, is one of the most idyllic wineries on Mallorca and the perfect vineyard to visit with wine-loving friends and relatives.
