The Manitou sailboat, which belonged to JFKennedy heads to Port Adriano to participate in the III Bollard Silver Classic Regatta
The competition, which takes place from July 30th until the 2nd of August , has established itself as one of the events of the Majorcan summer.

The 18 meter sailboat ‘ Manitou ‘ that belonged to the American president JF Kennedy , will be one of the attractions of the third edition of the Classic Bollard Silver Regatta to be held at the Port Adriano from July 30th until the 2nd of August 2. This yacth , considered a classic and built in 1937 by designer Olin Stephens, will repeat this experience another year in order to regain the title as it did in 2013 .
During these three days of racing some of the most iconic jewels in the history of sailing will cross through Majorcan waters, therefore we will see the American sailboat ‘ Enterprise ‘ which last year won the Silver Classic II Bollard Regatta , or ‘ Margarita está linda la mar’ ‘ of 18 and 11 meters long respectively.
All them, along with new additions such as the sailboat ‘ Calima ‘ or ‘ Rosendo ‘ , both over 13 meter will sail down the west coast of Majorca. In fact the course of this race, along the coast, shows the beauty of the Serra de Tramontana an excellent view from the sea , this aspect is the one that attracts and draws more the attention of the participants .
The Classic Silver Bollard Regatta , despite its ‘ youth ‘ , is already considered one of the nautical events of the Majorcan summer, Proof of this is that , despite two editions , in this third occasion there are many sailboats who will repeat this experience, not to mention the new participants who also have the intention to join the Classic.
Without a doubt, it is a quality race regatta that opens the season of classic sailboats in the Balearic Islands. A nautical – sporting event that is known for offering participants a very friendly atmosphere and social program, on this basis, the captains , crews and guests can enjoy not only a fun race in an idyllic setting such as the cliffs of the west coast of the island, but also participate in a comprehensive social program prepared for the occasion in the various establishments and venues at Port Adriano.
The III edition of the Classic silver Bollard regatta is organised by the “club de regatas de port Adriano” in collaboration with baleric sailing federation (FBV) and counts with the sponsorship of Yates Adriano, Crew Bar, Gin mare and dress and co.
