This year’s Pirates Charity Premiere will be held on Saturday May 16th at 19.00. They will raising money for the following charities, Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital in London and 3 local charities. The Paediatric Ward of Son Espases Hospital, Shamabahla Foundation who look to help the vulnerable children of Mallorca and offer them education and accommodation, and The Salvation Army Mallorca who offer help and guidance to those suffering on the island.
There will be many ways you can help them raise money for all these charities. On Radio One Mallorca before the event the presenters will be doing some of their now famous “Challenges” where they’re challenged to do weird and whacky things in return for a donation. If you have a challenge in mind then please get in touch at studio@radioonemallorca.com
Raffle tickets will be available pre, during and post the event with over 50 great prizes available with tickets only 2€ each. The draw will be held on Radio One Mallorca the Saturday after the event.
They’d love to see as many people as possible at the show as your ticket money is a donation. The Pirates show will be a mix of their two shows Adventure and Reloaded which always is spectacular. During the interval there will be an auction of some amazing items including yacht charters, holidays and memorabilia. They will also have a silent auction of some amazing memorabilia and they will be selling mini cava bottles that are numbered and one winning bottle number is drawn when we do their “Toast for Jacques”. Many of you I’m sure will remember Jacques as the founder of Pirates whose idea it was to hold a Premiere and they like to toast his memory on the night. Finally if all that wasn’t enough they will give everybody who buys a ticket to the show a chance to win a very special mystery star prize! The after show party will be held at Key West in Portals Nous which you can attend if you can’t make the show at a cost of 20€. To finish the weekend off they have arranged for a Sunday chill-out party at the Pirates Beach Bar on Magaluf beach. They will be putting on some live entertainment and will make a donation from their takings on the day. All in all it will be a fun filled weekend with the sole intention of raising as much money as possible for the chosen charities.
