The world’s largest show of its kind, METS will welcome over 20,000 marine industry professionals to Amsterdam in November for the 2014 edition of the Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS). The show provides a platform to network, exchange ideas and do business.
Among the many innovative events planned over the course of the three day programme is the Innovation LAB concept, an onsite activity platform that offers increased attention to the exhibitors innovations, products and technologies. Organisers have reported a record number of exhibitors expected to attend.
Irene Dros, Manager of METS, recently talked to the SuperYacht Times in regards to the show. In addition to the show’s numbers being higher than ever this year, Irene comments on the effect of the financial crisis, saying that the atmosphere surrounding the industry’s shows are finally picking up once more. She states, “This year we have almost 230 new exhibitors coming from all over the place. We have over 47 nationalities in the exhibitor field this year. Everybody is climbing up again and really looking forward to a new buzz. The boat shows in general have seemed to pick up again, so there is just a general positive vibe again.”
METS will be held at Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre from 18th to 20th November 2014.
