By mid-morning on the final day of the regatta, 2nd August, Port Adriano was cloudy and overcast with a haze, a ground swell of 2 metres and very little breeze. On each day of the event, the fleet took to the sea at 12.00 , making there way to the starting line, but , unfortunately, they returned to port without being able to start a race.
The persistent swell from the South combined with soft and shifting southerly winds veering westwards, , but which fell below 5 knots- forced the Race Committee, led by Officer Ariane Mainemarer, to abandon the race as the prevailing sea conditions and winds were not appropriate for these kind of boats.
The Final results were :
1st Place: Enterprise owned by Albert Kusak 2 points
2nd Place: Manitou- owner Philip Jordan with 4 points
3rd Place: Bluepeter – owned by The Blue Peter Ltd with 6 points
4th Place- Marigan- owned byTim Liesenhoff with 8 points
