Club Nàutic S’Arenal delivered an unforgettable edition of the Mar Blau Trophy on 30 November 2025, hosting 12 cruising yachts for a sun-soaked and highly competitive day on the water. One of Mallorca’s most established regattas, the event once again traced its classic route across the Bay of Palma to the Sech islet off Magaluf, before sending the fleet back to S’Arenal for a dramatic finish.
Despite a promising start with bright skies, the wind was slow to fill, prompting nearly an hour’s delay. But once the west–southwest llebeig settled in at 12 to 16 knots, the fleet powered into action. Conditions proved ideal, with the first boat completing the course in 2 hours 38 minutes, while the last crossed the line just over four hours after the start.
The ORC 0–4 division delivered the day’s most gripping showdown. After corrected time, the top two boats were separated by a razor-thin margin of just 48 seconds. Mestral Fast, skippered by Jaume Morell Sitjar, claimed victory, closely followed by Jose Juan Torres’ Histolab, with S’avenc, helmed by Toni Marqués, completing the podium.
“We saw constant duelling at the front,” noted Álex Durán, sports events coordinator at Club Nàutic S’Arenal. “The final podium was decided by mere seconds.”
In the ORC Social class—designed for club members and sailors seeking a more relaxed competitive environment—the time gaps were wider but the spirit equally vibrant. Mara, sailed by Jacinto Peláez Fernández, secured a commanding win, finishing 22 minutes ahead of Morfeo (Pedro Siquier Cantallops) and 28 minutes ahead of Agaloe (Toni de Andrés Mascaró).
