Bilgin Yachts’ 80m Leona is set to be a headliner of this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. We take a closer look at this superyacht’s credentials.
Leona is the second of Bilgin’s 263 series and follows in the footsteps of Tatiana (delivered in 2020).
Meticulously constructed according to the owner’s precise specifications, Leona epitomizes a commitment to a luxurious lifestyle. While the general arrangement closely mirrors that of Tatiana, this iteration places greater emphasis on space, achieved through a reduction in cabin numbers, to allow for more expansive accommodations.
Leona was designed in partnership with the Antalya-based Unique Yacht Design studio (naval architecture and exterior design) and the UK-based H2 Yacht Design were commissioned for her interior.
The interior of Leona uses a bold and opulent palette that incorporates a high level of intricate detailing with a heavy use of decorative elements and textures. Interior finishes include leathers from Foglizzo, an Italian marble staircase, exterior furniture from Coco Wolf, pieces for the saloon from Roberto Cavalli, and Cantalupi lighting.
Standout features include the owner’s deck, with its palatial bedroom suite, private lounge, ensuite bathroom with circular bathtub, and exterior terrace with pool. The yacht also boasts a cinema room, gym, and huge spa and beach club arrangement with Greek statues surrounding a blue-tiled pool.
Leona has accommodation for as many as 16 (capped at 12 when on charter) and operates with a crew of 19.
Beyond her striking visual appeal, Leona prioritizes environmental enhancements with an integrated 100% clean air exhaust system that adheres to the rigorous standards of IMO Tier III. Characterized as both economically efficient and high-performing, effortlessly reaching top speeds of 19 knots while maintaining zero dynamic trim, at her 12-knot cruising speed Leona’s 2,560kW twin engines and generator consume approximately 250 litres of fuel per hour – a level of efficiency typically associated with yachts half this size.
Bilgin Yachts confirm they have a third of these 80m vessels in build, Project Silence, which will feature a brand-new superstructure design amongst other variations. Project Silence is due for delivery in 2024.
Sporting an eye-catching red and white hull and standing five decks high, Leona will be an easy spot in Port Hercule this September!
