ALVA Yachts, the German builder of luxury electric solar catamarans and sail boats, is pleased to announce the introduction of the OCEAN ECO 78, a 23.7m multihull yacht with electric propulsion and transatlantic range designed with responsible yachting at its core. Designed with luxury, safety and performance in mind, it boasts the latest technological developments, surpassing self-sufficient competitors.
Its expansive roof houses integrated solar panels, giving transatlantic range and virtually unlimited autonomy via the battery packs. In the full-electric variant, the 78 is powered by two 217kW electric motors, connected to a 280-490kWh battery pack, which is powered by sun and generators. The solar panels reach 26kWp – best-in-class compared to competitors, while the diesel generators produce 2x00kW/ DC each.
