Monzó Yacht Painting carried out some important paint projects for various high-profile racing yachts in 2022 before being put to the test on the world’s most prestigious race courses. These yachts competed in world-class races such as Les Voiles de Saint Tropez and The Ocean Race.

Noted vessels such as Cannonball -a regular on racecourses and winner in the Maxi 2 at the 2022 Les Voiles de Saint Tropez- decided to base themselves at Varadero Valencia. Here, Monzó painted her hull and transom extension before she set sail for Saint Tropez.

Flying Nikka, the world’s first foiling Mini Maxi, designed by Mills Design and built by King Marine, commissioned Monzó Yacht Painting to carry out all her paint jobs. With a final finish completed in exposed matte carbon before her launch, she made a resounding debut on the world’s top race courses.

Meanwhile, S/Y Camiranga was hauled out at Varadero Valencia for Monzó to apply antifouling and polish the hull. This included preparation for her participation in Les Voiles de Saint Tropez. Another visitor, this time before racing in The Ocean Race 2023 in early January, was the VO65 WindWhisper, who had topcoat applied to her hull and non-skid paint to her deck.
