Finally, the long-awaited annual event for Spanish recreational boating has arrived, the Barcelona Boat Show , which will celebrate its 60th anniversary from the imminent October 12 to 16.
The Barcelona exhibition, organized by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), which has been held since 1963, will blow 60 candles this year, since two editions were held in 1988, the second in December to adapt to the new dates proposed by the Spanish nautical companies.
The incorporation of Marina Port Vell , in addition to the usual docks of La Fusta and Spain, will make this edition the largest floating exhibition. The show will occupy a total of 21,000 square meters of exhibition, where 221 exhibitors will exhibit more than 700 boats, 182 of them afloat. Among them there will be 28 catamarans and 14 of the candidates for the best boat of the year.
The Innovation Dock space will be located in the Moll de la Fusta , where fifteen startups will show their most disruptive proposals in the field of digitization and environmentally friendly nautical and various electric, hybrid and hydrogen boats will be exhibited.
The so-called Sea Boulevard , in the Moll de la Fusta land area , will host its usual supply of nautical equipment, accessories and services, while its moorings will concentrate the supply of sailing boats.
At Marina Port Vell , which will occupy the Barcelona Boat Show for the first time, and at the Muelle de España , a large floating exhibition will be presented with the best selection of motor yachts and catamarans.
There will be various activities for visitors, with different options to go out to sea thanks to the initiatives of the FNOB with its IMOCA 60, in the Santa Eulalia pailebote moored in the Marina Tradicional area , where it will also be possible to embark on traditional sailing boats. Sports equipment tests can be carried out in the Fun Beach area.
The most playful side will feature the new Vermut&Soul gastronomic space , with live music and food tracks. As usual, on Friday, October 14, the Nautical Night will be held , with musical performances and gastronomic tastings.
Hours : from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., except on Friday the 14th, when the Nautical Night will be held until 10 p.m.
