Far and away, the glaring omission was Captain Ron (above). This 1992 film featured a Chicagoan (Martin Short) who inherited an old yacht, and how he hired Captain Ron (Kurt Russell) to help his family sail from the Caribbean to Miami. Classic! Among the suggestions, we opted not to include animated features (Finding Nemo, Little Mermaid, Moana), animated shorts (The Old Man and The Sea), or non-English movies (Knife in the Water). However, if this quarantine period extends to summer, we’ll revisit that decision.
