An Australian national, the 37-year-old Zane Gills reportedly died ahead of New Year’s Eve in an accident on a boat in Barcelona, Spain. After reported missing by his brother, his body was found under the yacht hours later. No additional details have been released. Gills, who lived in Lymington, Hampshire, was a bowman for Team Telefonica in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-12. Full report.
