British Marine is to host its annual Spring Expo next week at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Taking place from February 4-5, the two-day event will include a number of key industry talks and seminars and is set against a backdrop of learning, networking and business deals being done.

The event will include a host of new free BM Talks delivering the latest training skills, industry insights from leading experts and thought-provoking discussions surrounding the biggest challenges facing our industry today, as well as a free Trade Connections Area. It will also feature the popular, ticketed Superyacht UK Technical Seminar.

One of the highlights this year will be a seminar aimed at increasing women’s involvement in sailing. British Marine and its new Access to Boating Association will host a seminar with leading charity The Magenta Project and Sunsail Worldwide Sailing. Held on February 5 and free to attend, it will feature the unveiling of a ground-breaking initiative to increase the participation of women in sailing.

A panel of experts will be joining guests for an interactive Q&A. This includes renowned British sailor and chair of the World Sailing Trust, Dee Caffari MBE, entrepreneur and chair of The Magenta Project, Elaine Penhaul, marketing director at The Magenta Project, Victoria Low, partner and sailing team head at GAC Pindar, Andrew Pindar OBE DL, and successful Paralympic sailor, Helena Lucas MBE.
