France’s Port Adhoc acquires three new facilities.
French marina operator Port Adhoc has signed a contract to acquire three marinas in the Netherlands from local group Thuishavens.
The three facilities, located in close proximity to Amsterdam and Rotterdam, include Marina Muiderzand, Jachthaven Naarden and Jachthaven Bruinisse.
The acquisition, which brings Port Adhoc’s total berthing capacity to 8,600, is part of the company’s plans to expand its foothold in Western Europe, according to local news site Actunautique.com. Prior to the takeover, Port Adhoc had a berthing capacity of about 5,600.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
Port Adhoc operates seven facilities in France. “From the east side of the English Channel to the Bay of Biscay and the Gironde Estuary, you will find our marinas along the entire Atlantic sea front,” Port Adhoc said in a statement.
The company’s marinas include Paimpol, Leucate, Bayonne-Anglet, Soubise, Port-Médoc, Port Barcarès and Port Napoléon.
Set up in 2004, Port Adhoc says it had an occupancy ratio of 70% in 2018.
