The UK’s Superyacht Tenders & Toys (SYTT) has launched a watersports toy rental service in the Med. Based in Monaco, the new division was created in response to rising consumer demand. It also offers SYTT a base outside the UK in the midst of uncertainty surrounding Brexit, the company claims.
Open for business from spring 2019, the department specialises in eco-friendly rentals, including FunAir inflatables, RS sailing dinghies and electric toys such as the Seabob, Lift eFoil and bikes. It is managed by Roxane Ducruet, who has a wealth of yacht industry experience and a wide network of contacts. She has lived in Monaco her whole life.
“With charter guests increasingly coming to SYTT to hire the latest and greatest watersports toys, investment into a Mediterranean rental outlet is the natural next step for the company,” says SYTT managing director Josh Richardson. “We have been supplying other rental operators throughout the Mediterranean for a long time, so it is a logical move to bring it in-house.
“By managing the rentals ourselves, we can offer clients our usual efficient service and ensure they get the best products at the best price.”
SYTT says it will ensure competitive rates with broker-friendly pricing and credits towards future purchases with the aim of building a repeat-purchase customer base. One-way rentals will also be an option, with SYTT collecting the toys from the charter end destination.
In addition to watersports toys, SYTT also has a fleet of Nautique boats for rental worldwide. A new Super Air Nautique 210 is now available for central Mediterranean charter, as well as two G23s in the Greece and Ibiza areas. For US and Caribbean-based yachts, SYTT has a Nautique G25 in Ft Lauderdale.
