The ninth edition of the Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show will be held at the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club from November 8-10, 2018. The show has grown to become an important event in the UAE and Middle East boat show calendar.
The 2017 event saw a record attendance and this year the organisers are working to attract a higher number of visitors. This will centre on exhibiting a good range of quality boats at good prices and to make it an event for both prospective buyers, either new or existing owners as well as families.
More than 25 exhibitors will be participating in the Dubai Pre-Owned Boat Show, which includes regulars such as Gulf Craft, the Middle East’s largest yacht builder, and brokers and yacht service providers, Bush & Noble.
A newcomer for 2018 is Xclusive Boat Club as a show partner. The business was set up in September 2018 as a new division of the yacht rental company Xclusive Yachts.
Commenting on their participation, Wayne Munro, manager of Xclusive Boat Club, said: “The Pre-Owned show is an important event for us because the majority of our clients are people who have either owned a boat or are looking to get into boating by purchasing a pre-owned boat.
“We find that the people who attend are the perfect demographic for our product, giving them the option to enjoy boating without the headache that comes with owning one.”
The Middle East is a region of growing boating activity, with the UAE having earlier this year hosted the Dubai International Boat Show and earlier this month the first edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show. The region is also the base for some 200 superyachts over 40m (131ft), including the 180m Azzam, currently the world’s largest superyacht.
In addition, there is a large amount of marina construction underway throughout the region with over 3,000 berths alone being built or planned in Dubai.
