Jan Timmerman to join Dutch superyacht yard in August

Royal Huisman has announced that Jan Timmerman is to take over as CEO of the Dutch yard, effective August 1, 2018.

Timmerman has a long and successful track record as managing director and president of international businesses in the fields of premium coated aluminum and lighting solutions, supplying both high-end architectural projects as well as OEMs.

Jan Willem Doeksen, on behalf of Royal Huisman’s shareholders and supervisory board, says: “We are very pleased to get such an experienced, international and qualified CEO onboard.”

Timmerman has worked and lived with his family abroad for many years, including in the US, Mexico and China.

“I am very much looking forward to maintaining and expanding the success of Royal Huisman through blending 21st century technology and innovation, traditional craftsmanship and timeless values,” he says.

Alongside Timmerman, the management team of Royal Huisman will consist of technical director Jaap Gelling and financial director Harmen Peters.
