ALBORS GALIANO PORTALES hires partner Miguel Angel Sierra to boost their yachting practice in the Balearic Islands
ALBORS GALIANO PORTALES continues to strengthen its practice areas by boosting its yachting practice in response to increased demand in the area, especially in Baleares, where yachting has a big impact both socially and economically.
With the above in mind, the firm has hired a new partner, Miguel Angel Serra, with a particular focus in the tax implications of yachting. Miguel Angel has ample experience in yachting, with particular emphasis in mega yachts, shipyards and marinas, advising in superyacht finance, S&P, registration and dispute resolution.
Miguel Angel holds degrees in Economics (University of Barcelona) and Law (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) and is lecturer both nationally and internationally. Miguel Angel will be in charge of opening the firm’s office in Palma.
With over 25 years of experience, ALBORS GALIANO PORTALES is a leading Firm in the Spanish Shipping, Transportation and Insurance and Reinsurance practice areas. This status has been confirmed over many years by the most prominent international publications. ALBORS GALIANO PORTALES was established in Madrid in the 1990’s and has achieved recognition in niche practice areas traditionally dominated by foreign law firms. The Firm has offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Bilbao (and soon to open in Palma) and correspondents in the main capitals and well as a well-developed and consolidated set of international correspondents.
