St. Thomas International Regatta – March 24-26, 2017
Fair winds and following seas to those setting sail in the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers this month and to all of those sailing south to the Caribbean! Make sure to mark your calendar for the St. Thomas International Regatta, set for Marcy 24-26, 2017, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. Here are five great reasons why:
– Something for everyone! Race in CSA (Caribbean Sailing Association); IRC; Multihull; CSA Bareboat; Beach Cat or One Design classes with a minimum length of 20 feet. Large offshore multihull class for 2017!
– Race in Two Regattas. Enter the Round the Rocks race on March 23, a circumnavigation of the neighboring island of St. John. Great tune-up for STIR. Seperate prizes.
– Full-service logistics operation for Grand Prix race boats. Just contact Caribbean Racing Logistics, run by yacht club member Ben Beer, who can handle even the hall out and storage of large deep draft race boats (benbeer13@aol.com or 340-998-6203).
– Concierge Services. Island Way Services (islandwayservices@gmail.com or 340-244-8457), can assist with everything from accommodations to rental vehicles and more. In addition, the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism website offers a wealth of information: www.visitusvi.com
– Win FREE Long-Sleeve High-Performance Team Shirts for Early Registration. Drawing’s November 30 and December 31.
