Fine Yachts in Palma are thrilled to announce a very successful Contest Meeting Mallorca 2016.
Teams from five different countries participated this year, in what turned out to be a rather light wind event. Friday saw light steady winds for a nice coastal race, which saw the fleet spread a little. On Sunday, the wind became even lighter and very changeable. A windward/leeward course was set and the racing was close and tactical.
A lot of fun was had by all and the top three results are as follows.
- Contest 50CS, Atlas
- Contest 45CS, Mabrouka
- Contest 50CS, Arausha
The event kicked off with welcome drinks and tapas at the new terrace of the restaurant at El Corte Ingles on the Av. Jaime III. Here guests were provided with their race packs, t-shirts and Quely snack bags.
On Friday evening the crews were able to relax at the fantastic barbeque at The Boat House, Palma. Cava was kindly provided by Lekkerfoods upon arrival.
The final evening was the dinner and prize-giving at the restaurant in Es Baluard, a superb location in Palma. One of the evening´s highlights were the two Porsche cars on display, tempting many guests who were free to take a seat and start the engine.
