Inside look at the construction of 156m project Omar’s mast

Although very few details are known about the project that is thought to be the largest yacht in the world, Lürssen’s 156 metre project Omar, we are able to show you a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to construct the mast of such a large vessel. Built by VABO Composites in the Netherlands, Omar features a full composite mast that, according to the company, can reduce the weight of the structure up to 50%. The mast was constructed in sections and delivered to the Lürssen shipyard in Germany where it was finally assembled.
