Gulf Craft looks to spearhead further expansion in Qatar

Gulf Craft Fleet in Qatar Exclusive Event 2016, The Pearl (1)_ibi

Motoryacht builder Gulf Craft is preparing to showcase three new yachts in Qatar at an exclusive preview event as the UAE-based builder looks to spearhead further expansion in the region.

The builder already claims to account for 50% of leisure sales in Qatar and has seen steady growth in sales this year across its entire range.

Gulf Craft recorded a revenue growth of 5% in 2015 and the company forecasts the upward trend will continue this year. The shipyard has embarked on an ambitious plan to expand its manufacturing capacity to allow for the development of larger projects.

“We see a very promising 2016 as boating becomes more intuitive and people embrace the activity as an essential part of their lifestyle. Space and comfort are increasingly becoming a priority for seafarers both in this region and around the world, with many looking to spend more time on water. That is why we are confident about the growing potential of our Nomad Yachts long-range series, which has been a welcome addition to our fleet, and why Gulf Craft will continue to consolidate its position as a leading luxury superyacht builder through the expansion of the Majesty Yachts brand,” says Erwin Bamps, CEO of Gulf Craft.

“We also predict strong pick-up in the market for smaller boats, including our Oryx sport cruisers and Silvercraft fishing boats and family cruisers, as more waterfront developments across the GCC come into fruition,” he explains.

More than 10 yachts and boats from the builder’s fleet of Majesty Yachts, Nomad Yachts, Oryx sport cruisers, and Silvercraft fishing and family boats will be presented at the private event, which kicks off on Wednesday, 30 March. Vessels on display at the preview include the Majesty 110, Majesty 90 and Nomad 55.

In its 5th edition, Gulf Craft’s exclusive preview in Qatar follows on the heels of the company’s successful global launch of the three new yachts at the Dubai International Boat Show, where it generated more than AED 80 million (US$22 million) in sales across its portfolio of yachts and boats.
