UK firm’s teak is now certified under the EUTR FLEGT scheme.
Marine Hardwoods in the UK has announced that it now offers Certified Sustainable Teak in decking and mini decking.
The material is manufactured from old growth Teak (Tectona Grandis), with an excellent colour and tested durability which is certified under the EUTR FLEGT scheme.
The UK regulators will continue to recognise FLEGT post-Brexit through the forthcoming UKTR.
”FLEGT certification leaves a clear audit trail that can be attached to a yacht’s history for export into EU countries post-Brexit,” says the company in a statement.
“Our Certified Sustainable Teak is a traditional, biodegradable, untreated and natural product which sets the bar height for yacht decks in the 21st century.”
