For the 4th year running Anita Vince and her team are braving the GR221 through the Tramuntana Mountain Range to raise money for Cancer Support Mallorca.
A core team of 7 ladies, plus many others who will join for individual days, will leave Pollensa on the 19th of April and arrive in Es Capdella on the 26th. They will cover some 150km of rough mountain terrain during the week’s walk.
Anita herself was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer in 2014 and had to undergo surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and a hysterectomy. She started “Walk the GR221 for Cancer Support” in 2016 and in the last 3 years has raised thousands of euros which have been donated to Cancer Support Mallorca and other Cancer charities on the Island.
This year the walk will end with a fundraising event on the 26th of April, in Restaurante Sa Vinya, Es Capdella. From 5pm there will be food, live music and entertainment as well as a cake competition.
