The new Global Kitesports Association (GKA) Kite-Surf World Tour season is nearing kick off in Tarifa at the end of June. The tour is a mixed discipline series, combining pure wave events with strapless freestyle events. This will be the second year for this combination wave and strapless freestyle format.

GKA, along with International Kiteboarding Association (IKA, works with World Sailing to promote, and expand interest worldwide in the sport of competitive kiteboarding and to regulate the management and responsibilities for kiteboarding.

GKA is responsible to run expression events at a World Level for Wave, Strapless Freestyle, Big Air (Twin Tip), Freestyle (Twin Tip), and Slider / Obstacle, while IKA is responsible for the racing disciplines.

WORLD CUP TARIFA: June 27-July 2
WORLD CUP DAKHLA / MOROCCO: July 18-23
WORLD CUP SOTAVENTO, FUERTEVENTURA: August 1-5
