Nautor’s Swan of Finland and the Edmond de Rothschild Group have formed a partnership covering a series of international sailing competitions to be held in 2017.
The partnership covers various sailing competitions, such as the The Nations Trophy in Palma de Mallorca in October, the Swan European Regatta on the UK’s Isle of Wight, the Giraglia Rolex Cup in Saint Tropez, the Copa del Rey in Palma de Mallorca and the Voiles de Saint Tropez, in which the Edmond de Rothschild Group has been a partner since 2014.
“We are very proud to be a partner of such an important company, with such a solid and established nautical heritage,” says Nautor’s Swan executive chairman Leonardo Ferragamo. “Both Edmond de Rothschild Group and Nautor’s Swan have made the attention to their clients/owners a point of reference in all their activities and this new alliance will enrich the quality of future events together. ”
Ariane de Rothschild, chairwoman of the Edmond de Rothschild Group’s Executive Committee, says: “I am delighted that we are joining forces with Nautor’s Swan, which shares our values of expertise, precision, elegance and competition. With this partnership, I am maintaining the passion that my father-in-law had for these boats and their era-defining style and performance.
“We regularly sail on the famous Gitana VI yacht, which was built in 1975 by Olin Stephens, who alongside German Frers is a key figure in yachting history. Their names are intricately linked with the history of Nautor’s Swan.”
The Edmond de Rothschild Group is an independent, family-controlled financial group focused on private banking and asset management.
Nautor’s Swan has 50 years of experience building high-performance sailing yachts and has organised many high-level competitions around the world.
