The doors of this year’s Palma Superyacht and Boat Show open on April 28^th and will close on Monday May 2^nd . The entire space was sold out some months ago, promising an even bigger and better show than ever. Over 60 Superyachts will be on view this year, and with 60% being sailboats this makes it the largest display at a show of sailboats over 24 mtrs in the world. Quite some achievement considering just four years ago the show was cancelled through lack of funds and interest.

Great credit should be given to MYBA ( Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) and the forming of a local association BYBA ( Balearic yacht Brokers Association) who effectively underwrote the show for three years, breathing new life into the event.

The format of the show will be similar to last year’s successful edition, with a record attendance expected over the bank holiday weekend. The Palma show marks the unofficial start of the Med season and judging by whispers from the charter brokers, 2016 is set to become one of the best ever.
