Van der Valk launches ‘Santa Maria T’

Dutch shipyard Van der Valk has launched Santa Maria T, the latest addition to its Continental Four range. This 36m project is the largest trawler yacht built by Van der Valk to date.

The first of a new generation of designs created in partnership with Guido de Groot, Santa Maria T showcases a brand-new two-axis fin antiroll damping system that provides stabilization underway and at zero speed.

She also carries a 1,200kg crane for launching the custom 6.4m carbon fibre Beachlander tender

Santa Maria T is equipped with two Volvo Penta D16 MH 651hp engines.

The D16 engines come with a rating 1 continuous duty certificate, meaning they can perform 24/7 without a single stop.

Santa Maria T has a large fuel capacity for transatlantic range. Her maximum speed is 14ks and cruising speed of 11ks.

She is a full displacement motoryacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure.
