Fipa Group, the builder of AB Yachts and Maiora brands, has announced that two 30m-plus projects are nearing completion at its production site in Viareggio, Italy.

With 32m overall length, the Maiora 33FB is the larger of the two units set to touch water in April/May this year. The second project is AB 100, a new 30m motoryacht.

The Maiora 33FB’s planing hull is made of fibreglass with soft, flowing lines. This flybridge motoryacht is powered by two MTU @ 2600hp and the builder says these will allow for a comfortable cruise of 24ks and maximum speed of 28ks.

The shipyard has chosen lightweight materials for the hull and superstructure of AB 100 (GRP sandwich of Kevlar- carbon) and has equipped the vessel with waterjets propulsion.

Her power package comprises three Caterpillar engines of 1925hp each together with three MJP waterjets. The yacht could reach a maximum speed of 52ks and 44ks at cruising speed.

In addition, AB Yachts has expanded its portfolio with the development of the concept for a 166ft and 200ft models.

AB Yachts and Maiora operate a production site and yachts storage in Viareggio and Massa. AB Yachts portfolio comprises motoryachts ranging 17m-60m. The Maiora product line comprises motoryachts ranging 20m-43m.

Both brands are part of Fipa Group since 2001.
