Hello you all,

After all these Christmas holidays and new Year it is time to get our classic cars rolling again., and we have been hoping to have a great car concentration like last year in Jaime III, but in an more convenient place, without last year’s traffic problems and lack of space.

The American Car Club, Driving Mallorca and Classic Car Club Mallorca will be working together to get this event going.

This year, thanks to the Ayuntamiento of Palma de Mallorca and the Department of Citizen participation this has been possible and this will be a great event.

We have been granted the three lanes of the Paseo Maritimo going into Palma (from the Avenidas junction to the Stop light right in front of the Cathedral) Road Ma-19.

This stretch of 3 lane road will be closed for the classic car exhibition from 9:00 to 14:00 on Sunday January 24th.

We will have 800 metres of a three lane road in front of the Cathedral and Park de la Mar of free space to put our cars on show.

The 24th of January there will be a great get together of classic cars and very special and exclusive modern cars . In this case the modern cars to be shown have to be accepted by the event organization, to make sure they are very special and interesting for the public to see.

The organization reserves the right of admission of participants in the event

This event is part of the San Sebastian 2016 festivities and will be included in the program of events of the Ayuntamiento.

We have to confirm the participation before the 15th of January.

Our Club is part of the organization of the event, so we should provide helping hands to make the event run smoothly and to help park the .

Besides showing our cars to the car enthusiasts in Mallorca we decided to cooperate selflessly with Mallorca sense fam (a Charity organization : Palma without hunger), for both participants and visitors to bring nonperishable food to the event. Any great help will be welcome to show our solidarity with the worse off.

Every club will make a listing of the participants and present it to the Ayuntamiento de Palma.

Resumed:

1. On January 24th, cars will meet before 11:00 on the Paseo Maritimo stretch between the Cathedral and Avenidas junktion.

2. Every Club should provide 3 members to help organize the parking of the cars along the closed road. Every helper will be provided with a reflecting vest with organization markings.

3. Cars should be 25 year or older (1989 is the last allowed year), and modern cars should be singular cars and very special.

4. All cars should have insurance and ITV passed.

5. Participants will be asked to behave and not to make stunts or risky maneuvers, and will be excluded from the event in case to do so.

6. Every club will have a different show up time in order to prevent traffic jams and collapse.

7. Cars will be grouped by Club, model and manufacturer

8. In case of individual inscription the participant has to be adopted by some of the clubs.

9. The participants commit themselves to leave the their cars parked from 11:00 to the end of the event at 14:00.

10. After the end of the event all the cars will be escorted by the Police in direction to Porto Pi, to show the cars in motion to all the attendants..
