Since Innovation3 Composites opened it’s doors for business in 2013 it became clear it would not take long to out grow the initial workshop in Pol. Can Valero. During 2016 i3 has been looking for the new space, after a coming close to committing to the move over the summer we have had the great news that the neighbouring workshop has become available. This is a fantastic opportunity for i3 as it comes with 250m2 outside space behind a lockable gate. This flat and easy to access space will have a permanent tent built for boom work and will enable us to transport large booms and tenders up to the workshop for the duration of the project. This equates to a saving for the boats verses tented at the port and a much more efficient working environment for all.
At the time of writing we have two booms over 15m and a 10m tender for extensive modifications booked in to be completed before the new year. Of course the interior work space also doubles with the new workshop. We will keep the existing workshop for the CNC machine, cutting room and and general dustier side of boatbuilding and make the new space the laminating dust free area.
