baps & wraps, opening shorty in Santa Catalina, was thought up by Tim and Sean who, having spent considerable time on the island and in the area, felt there was an opening for a new sandwich bar where everything is made fresh to order.
The idea is to not limit customers to whatever has been pre-made and as the pair have commented, ‘we all have different favourites and taste combinations, however strange these may appear to the next person. We want to embrace this and, above all, offer the freshest and best quality produce in the process’.
Described as an ‘English themed sandwich shop with a twist’, baps and wraps will also be offering healthy options such as customized salads and daily smoothies alongside popular treats such as croissants, biscuits and home made cakes. Coffee lovers will be pleased to know that quality coffee will be at heart of the operation, with all of the usual favourites available throughout the day to accompany your customized breakfast bap or lunchtime sandwich.
baps & wraps plans on staying open later on Fridays serving the usual cañas, wine and ‘English style’ gin and tonics alongside some complimentary nibbles, proving a perfect venue for after work drinks. At the weekend if any customers are feeling fragile after the night before, adding a Bloody Mary to accompany your bacon bap will be just the ticket to put you on the road to recovery.
If customers prefer to relax and take their time rather than order something to take away, there will be several seating zones available. A Wi-Fi area with stool seating can allow people to plough through emails at the same time as enjoying their order, while comfy bench seating offers the perfect chance to enjoy a well earned break.
Sean commented that, ‘whether it’s a quick dash to grab lunch, or a more lazy bite to eat over an hour or so, the idea is that quality and freshness is not compromised in either situation. The customer is in the driving seat, and we will happily help you create exactly what you desire!’. Above all, baps & wraps is aiming to be a place where you can grab your ideal lunch or snack on the go, as well as an oasis from the daytime heat and bustle where one can sit and chat with friends or catch up on work.
