SuperYacht Night Amsterdam – the annual event hosted by SuperYacht Company, the publishers of SuperYacht Times – was another great success. Providing a night of drinks, conversation and fun, the event was held on Wednesday the 19th, and provided exhibitors as well as other industry professionals a chance to let their hair down amidst the world’s largest marine trade show, the METS.
The night was an invitation only event which was hosted free of charge to guests. Drinks flowed all night from the free bar, whilst live music played in the background and a range of traditional Dutch snacks were served to guests. Dutch company Fair Promotion provided the party with a quirky photo booth, allowing guests to take home a memento of the night.
Every year the aim of SuperYacht Night Amsterdam is not only to have fun in a relaxed environment as part of METS, but also to provide a fantastic, business to business networking opportunity to members of the superyacht industry. Bringing people from the SuperYacht Company’s extensive network together for an evening of drinks in an informal situation is a benefit to business and an evolved continuation of the success of last year’s event.
This years annual event was held at a very special location, ‘De Duif’. The building is a beautiful restored church in the heart of Amsterdam and is regularly used for high profile events, which contributed to an air of exclusivity whilst retaining a fun atmosphere with the live music provided at the front of the building.
With the combination of intriguing history, wonderful restoration and ideal location in regards to transport from the venue of METS, the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Conference Centre, SuperYacht Company chose the perfect venue to make this years B2B network event bigger and better than ever before.
This year the SuperYacht Company launched a huge marketing campaign for the event. This combined with the success the event has experienced in prior years resulted in an unprecedented demand for tickets throughout the METS show, with a constant stream of exhibitors visiting the SuperYacht Company stand in the RAI to request their attendance.
Although restrictions in regards to the capacity of the beautiful venue meant that some were unfortunately not able to attend, both SuperYacht Company founders Maarten Janssen and Merijn de Waard have promised an even bigger SuperYacht Night for the event’s return during next year’s METS.
