During the Ferretti Group’s press conference at the Fort Lauderdale boat show, it was announced that the first Riva 50m Custom superyacht in build is well underway.
Riva’s 50m custom superyacht is in build
Riva introduced its new line of larger superyachts at the Monaco Yacht Show in September – which ranges from 50-metre to a 68-metre and reach beyond 100-metre custom yachts built in steel – and now it gives a project update on the superyacht in build.
Engineering is already complete on the fully custom, steel-built Riva 50 superyacht, and the first steel has been cut. Welding is expected to begin by January 2015.
Riva has a few other builds in the works outside its new custom class, including the brand new Riva 76 superyacht, inspired by customer feedback, which will make its world debut at the Cannes boat show 2015 and the Miami boat show 2015 as well. Meanwhile, the Riva 88 Florida is scheduled to be delivered in the summer of 2015 and make its world debut at October 2015. This yacht has an ingenious ‘convertible’ style top, which easily transforms her from a true open yacht to a closed, comfortable coupe yacht.
