Second edition of STP&ACREW Superyacht

- Next 23rd and 24th of October will be held the second edition of workshops organised by STP SHIPYARD PALMA in association with ACREW, in the shipyard facilities in Palma de Mallorca.
- Courses are free and are intended for Captains and Crew with the aim of adding value to their training and experience.
- Classes will be taught by specialists in the field who will share their knowledge on topics as diverse as energy efficiency, fuel, emergency, human resources on board, among others.
Palma, 22nd October of 2014. On Thursday and Friday, 23 and 24 October, will be held for the second time free courses for captains and crew jointly organized by STP Shipyard Palma and ACREW: STP&ACREW Superyacht Professional Development.
Given the great success of the first edition last May in which nearly 400 people participated, STP decided together with ACREW’s support to convert these days in a permanent annual action within the calendar of events for clients in STP Shipyard Palma and IPM Group.
The STP&ACREW Superyacht Professional Development consists of a a series of courses, lectures and workshops taught by professionals with extensive experience in the sector, whose purpose is to add value to the experience of participants. These monitors alongside the participants will implement their knowledge in subjects as diverse as treating Superyacht Diesel, human resources on board, ropes and rigging, equipment maintenance navigation energy efficiency, cocktails, health and nutrition, cooking, fire drills and much more.
These two days of scheduled courses, will end up with a Crew Party with a BBQ, good music and prizes.
Mallorca has become a landmark destination for the refit and maintenance of boats in the Mediterranean, and STP is one of the best facilities in Europe to carry out this work.
Given that captains and crew spend a lot of time in Palma while doing this work on their boats, STP thought it would be interesting to offer value-added services with a complement of entertainment like this. And the positive response to the initiative has been considerable.
