Swedish company Delta Powerboats latest superyacht is Delta 88, a 25.88 metre vessel part of a new line ranging from 7.92 metres to 26 metres. SYT’s Merijn de Waard stepped on board in Cannes last month.
The Delta 88 is the largest yacht the company have ever built. Lennart Alpstål, owner of the Delta factory, comments, “The task of building a boat of this size was a real challenge, and to succeed we had to start from the base. We had to re-build the factory and hire new skilled boat builders, technicians, and talented craftsmen in various skills to achieve a perfect result. The entire production is adapted for paying attention to environmental considerations. All boats are manufactured using vacuum infusion to get them equally strong and light.”
She accommodates guests over four luxurious staterooms as well as an additional crew of four. She comes with ample space for entertainment and relaxation, including a spacious flybridge with helm station, a BBQ, sunbeds a U-shaped sofa and a folding table. Other outdoor spaces include the foredeck with sunbathing pads and seating, as well as the aft deck, which features automated sun shades.
She features an aft garage with a William Jet Rib and optional transformer platform for storing and launching a second PWC. Powered by 3x Volvo Penta IPS 1200, she has a maximum speed of 37 knots.

Hull number two of the boat is already in production.
