In 1984 the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association was formed by pioneering members with a common desire to improve standards for the benefit of all.
With numerous landmark achievements in the intervening years, members, friends and all those who have contributed towards MYBA’s excellent track record will celebrate 30 years of excellence at its first ever birthday party.
The ‘invitation-only’ party will be held in Antibes on Saturday 20th Sept, a few days before the Monaco Yacht Show, with the kind support of the industry.

MYBA The Worldwide Yachting Association / Key Facts:
Formed 30 years ago by pioneering members with a common desire to improve standards for the benefit of all, today’s MYBA is a thriving and dynamic association with 109 corporate and 165 individual members.
MYBA has fully staffed administrative offices in St.Laurent du Var, Nice, and is run by a volunteer board of 9 elected members, plus a Treasurer and a full time General Secretary. The current elected President is Fiona Maureso, Charter Director at Northrop & Johnson, who also heads MYBA’s IT Panel.
In 2009 MYBA established its own wholly-owned commercial company All Yachting SAS (AYSAS) through which MYBA’s commercial interests are placed, such as ownership of the annual MYBA Charter Show.
Originally known for the creation and widespread acceptance of ‘industry standard’ Sale and Purchase (Memorandum of Agreement) and Charter Agreement forms, MYBA’s purpose and activities have grown immeasurably since.
MYBA is a recognised supporter and provider of various training courses and opportunities for ‘continuing professional development’, is present at numerous industry related events and seminars and is a member of ICOMIA, with representation at the highest level meetings affecting our industry, including Brussels. Is an active lobbyist and advocate of special reports that highlight, for example, the huge financial benefit the Superyacht industry brings to local and national economies. MYBA is the owner/co organiser of the MYBA Charter Show currently held in Genoa, Italy, a flagship annual B2B event.
