Marina Estrella press release..

Marina Estrella reinforces its capital with new investors

Barcelona, 14th January, 2014. Marina Estrella, the leading yacht distributor and broker of the Iberian market, has reinforced its shareholding structure and capital with the entry of the French investment fund Hoche Partners and new shareholders.

The entry of new Spanish investors and Hoche Partners as shareholders endorses the strategy of the company, which has conducted in the past two years a major restructuring, reorganization, professionalization and modernization, leaded by its CEO, Francisco Rivas. The French investment fund and the new Spanish shareholders become shareholders of reference of the company, holding together a majority stake, which was in the hands of the Estrella family, its founders.

Rivas, former Rodman CEO, president and founder of ANEN, the Spanish National Association of Marine Industries and strategy consultant and manager of major companies from different sectors in Spain, has been confirmed in his position as CEO of Marina Estrella.

“The confidence in the project by the new shareholders will drive the challenges we will face in the new era that now opens for Marina Estrella” says Francisco Rivas. “These challenges will consist mainly to consolidate our leading position in the import and distribution of our nine premium yacht brands; Azimut Yachts, Atlantis, Magellano, Benetti, Cobalt, Hanse, Moody, Sacs and Minorchino, in Spain and Portugal, and our brokerage, charter and services divisions, to which we are adding a strong commitment to our international development and the entry into the field of marinas management, with several projects already under evaluation. We are very pleased with the incorporation of the new shareholders and what it means in reinforcing the capital structure of the company to support our strategic business plan”.

With this investment in Spain and in the leading company in the marine industry, the French Hoche Partners fund who specializes in investments in mid-sized companies with high growth potential in different sectors around the world, demonstrates its confidence in a sector that is considered with great growth potential and in the future Marina Estrella project, whose main objectives continue to be to lead the marine industry in Spain and Portugal and expand internationally, using its large and recognized management experience to open new markets and business opportunities.
