The UK-based marine blind manufacturer was recognised for strong customer service and new product development

Oceanair, a UK manufacturer of marine blinds and soft furnishings, was recently named Large Business of the Year at the 2013 Johnson Press South Business Awards in Brighton.

Oceanair won the same category in the regional Chichester Observer Business Awards in April 2013, and was therefore automatically entered into the regional final awards. The judging panel recognised the company for its high levels of customer service and extensive product development.

Founded in 1990, Oceanair is a leading supplier of blinds, shades, screens and soft furnishings to the marine market, supplying many of the world’s top boat and superyacht builders. Around 75 per cent of its products are exported.

Earlier this year, Sunseeker International named Oceanair as its Supplier of the Year. The company also picked up a 2013 DAME Award for its SKYSOL Motion pleated blind at METS.
