Fairline celebrates 100th Squadron 78

The UK builder says the total value of all models sold to date is over £150m

The UK’s Fairline Boats has launched its 100th Squadron 78 motoryacht. First unveiled in 2003, the yacht has grown to become one of the UK’s builders most successful models.

“We are incredibly proud of the fact that the Squadron 78 is now in its 12th year of production, which demonstrates the strength and appeal of its design and build quality,” says Fairline CEO Kevin Gaskell. “Our teams work tirelessly to ensure that every Squadron 78 is crafted to the owner’s exacting requirements, creating beautifully customised and bespoke luxury motoryachts.”

The 100th build of the Squadron 78 follows the recent launch of its most customised model ever, a Squadron 78 Custom called MATCH 2. This was one of the Fairline Yacht Division’s most challenging build projects to-date, with almost 400 custom items. MATCH 2 was the owner’s fifth Fairline and his second Squadron 78.

Fairline says that the total value of all Squadron 78s sold to date is over £150m. Over 10,000 customisations have been undertaken across all 100 units sold, making the Squadron 78 the most bespoke and customised Fairline boat ever.
